AVIATION

The firtsofficil record of the Aviation Cocktail takes us to the year 1916, made by Hugo R. Ensslins, the head bartender at New York Hotel Wallick.

This is a classic cocktail gin-based that's served straight-up. It's a simple sour with a lemon juice touch balanced with the maraschino liqueur and crème de violet.

Our Suggestion:

  • 15ml lemon juice
  • 1 yellow cherry
  • Cherry Liqueur
  • 10 ml of creme de violette
  • ice

How to do it:

  • In a cocktail shaker add the Gin, cherry liqueur, lemon juice, and violet cream.
  • Add ice.
  • Cover the cocktail shaker and shake.
  • Strain the drink into a glass.
  • Put a yellow cherry in the drink to finish.
